National Party Condemns Raid on Comrade Ghafar Qambarani’s House, Urges Political Solution for Balochistan’s Issues

Turbat:Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch, the leader of the National Party, has strongly condemned the raid on the residence of senior party member and ideological ally, Comrade Ghafar Qambarani, and the harassment of his family. In a statement, Dr. Baloch emphasized that Comrade Qambarani is a dedicated participant in the peaceful democratic process, focused on social change and the achievement of basic human rights.
Dr. Baloch expressed deep concern over the unlawful actions of the authorities, which included associating Comrade Qambarani with separatist groups. He condemned this as part of an ongoing effort by the ruling powers to undermine the political process and suppress activists. He stated that such actions contradict democratic values and will only escalate the political tension in Balochistan.
Furthermore, Dr. Baloch highlighted the ongoing issue of enforced disappearances, which has led to widespread protests across the province as families demand the return of their loved ones. He criticized the government’s violation of human rights and the rule of law, warning that political leaders who speak out against such abuses are often targeted for retaliation.
Dr. Baloch also pointed out that Comrade Ghafar Qambarani had been previously placed on the Fourth Schedule, a move intended to intimidate and silence him. He rejected this treatment, reiterating that the National Party has consistently advocated for a political solution to Balochistan’s issues, urging the government to abandon the use of force and instead engage in peaceful political dialogue.
The National Party leader called for a shift in the ruling powers’ approach, urging them to stop viewing Balochistan through the lens of military intervention and to resolve the region’s issues through democratic means.
