Karachi, Pakistan:Renowned Pakistani actor Hamza Ali Abbasi has shared his opinion on the allowance of four marriages for men in Islam. In a recent interview, when asked about the topic, Hamza Ali Abbasi stated that he is happy with just one marriage.

He explained that the allowance for four marriages in Islam, as mentioned in the Quran, was revealed after the Battle of Uhud, during a time when women needed support. Hamza clarified that the verse, which permits up to four marriages, also emphasizes the necessity of justice between the wives. He pointed out that Allah specifically mentioned that if a man cannot be just with all four wives, then he should marry only one.

On the other hand, actor Danish Taimoor has come under criticism for his comments on four marriages. During his show, while with his wife Ayeza Khan, Danish stated that Islam allows him to marry four times, but out of love for Ayeza, he has no intentions of marrying another woman at present. His remarks have sparked a debate on social media, with many questioning the context and timing of his statement.
