Two Head Wardens at Adiala Jail Dismissed for Corruption and Abuse of Power

Rawalpindi:Two head wardens at Adiala Jail, Mohammad Arshad and Mohammad Safdar, have been dismissed from their positions due to involvement in corruption and abuse of power. The duo was found guilty of taking bribes from prisoners and failed to present any evidence in their defense.
According to the order issued by DIG Jail Rawalpindi Region, Abdul Rauf Rana, multiple complaints had been lodged by prisoners regarding the misconduct of the head wardens. Both Arshad and Safdar were responsible for overseeing the prison kitchen and conducting security searches.
The investigation, which began in January 2025, confirmed the allegations against the head wardens, revealing that they had been accepting bribes from the prisoners. The dismissal order has been enforced following the findings of the inquiry, ensuring accountability for their actions.
