Six Children Die After Roof Collapses in Karachi’s Jangjal Goth Afghan Settlement

A tragic incident occurred in Karachi when the roof of a house collapsed in the Jangjal Goth Afghan settlement near Site Super Highway, resulting in the death of six children.

According to rescue sources, the affected individuals were taken to a private hospital, where their deaths were confirmed. The family members, acting on their own, rushed the victims to the hospital.

Police reached the scene shortly after the incident and reported that the roof was under construction, with work being done to strengthen the roof. Unfortunately, the roof could not withstand the weight of sand and gravel.

Police further stated that ten people were trapped under the debris, and four individuals were injured in the accident. The affected family hails from Bannu.

The victims who lost their lives included 15-year-old Saadia, 9-year-old Sanodia, 8-year-old Ishaal, 8-year-old Kainat, 7-year-old Nasreen, and 3-year-old Ayesha. The injured individuals included 37-year-old Nasira, 40-year-old Mikael, 3-year-old Noman, and 7-year-old Asif.

The incident has shocked the local community, and condolences have been pouring in from various quarters.
