Khurram Dastgir Suggests Maulana Fazlur Rehman Should Join Federal Cabinet and Balochistan Government

Senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Khurram Dastgir, has expressed that the party’s priority is for Maulana Fazlur Rehman to be a part of the federal cabinet and the government of Balochistan. Speaking in a private TV channel’s program, Dastgir highlighted that Maulana Fazlur Rehman played a pivotal role in the 26th Constitutional Amendment, and even though Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) also consented to the amendment, they did not join due to political reasons.
He further elaborated that PML-N’s efforts would be focused on ensuring that Maulana Fazlur Rehman becomes a part of the federal cabinet and assumes a ministerial role. Dastgir also mentioned that if Maulana Fazlur Rehman becomes a part of the opposition alliance, it would contribute to peaceful activities within the alliance, but their primary focus remains on getting him included in the cabinet.
He stated that government leaders should approach Maulana Fazlur Rehman once again and request him to join the cabinet. While this has not been done yet, Dastgir mentioned that efforts to reach out would be made next week.
Regarding the opposition conference under PTI’s supervision, Dastgir remarked that he saw some “saddened faces” in the conference and urged the opposition to unite and formulate a plan of action. He advised them to revisit the Charter of Democracy and focus on serving the public, as he believes now is not the right time for political chaos.
