Dubai Police Launches “Donate Wisely” Campaign to Combat Professional Beggars

Dubai Police has launched an awareness campaign titled “Donate Wisely” at the start of Ramadan, aimed at protecting the public from the deceit of professional beggars and ensuring that donations reach those in need properly.

The police have warned the public not to fall for the false stories of beggars loitering near streets, mosques, and public areas. These professional beggars exploit people’s sympathy and misuse their donations.

Dubai Police is urging residents to make donations only to verified charitable organizations and to report any suspicious begging activities to the authorities immediately.

According to Dubai Police, donating responsibly not only ensures the safety of the community but also ensures that aid reaches the deserving individuals.
