Unknown Gunmen Attack Police Checkpoints in Quetta, Two Officers Martyred

On the night of Thursday, an attack on police checkpoints in the outskirts of Quetta’s Shaban area left two police officers martyred and one injured. According to police officials, the attack was carried out by unidentified armed assailants, and the shooting resulted in the deaths of Head Constable Shamsul Islam and Constable Ramadan, while Constable Asif Raza was injured.

Upon receiving the news, police swiftly arrived at the scene, cordoned off the area, and began gathering evidence while initiating a search for the perpetrators. The bodies of the martyred officers are being transferred to Quetta for necessary formalities. After completing the procedures, the bodies will be handed over to the families.

This tragic incident has raised concerns about the increasing security risks faced by law enforcement agencies in the region. Authorities are continuing their investigation to bring the responsible individuals to justice.
