Islamabad Sessions Court Extends Interim Bail for Bushra Bibi and Imran Khan in 6 Cases

Islamabad:The Sessions Court in Islamabad has extended the interim bail of Bushra Bibi and Imran Khan in six cases until February 11. Meanwhile, the lawyers of the founder of PTI, Imran Khan, have requested the transfer of the Toshakhana case to another bench.
Justice Raja Inam Munhas of the Islamabad High Court heard the requests for acquittal in the Toshakhana case for Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi. Barrister Salman Safdar and FIA prosecutor Umair Majid appeared before the court.
At the beginning of the hearing, Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi’s lawyer, Barrister Salman Safdar, requested the judge to transfer the case to another bench. He explained that, based on his client’s instructions, he was making the request as the case had already been heard by a senior judge of this High Court.
He pointed out that Khawar Maneka had filed an appeal against Imran Khan’s acquittal in the “Iddat” case, and on similar grounds, the case had been transferred to another bench. He further added that Islamabad High Court has many senior judges, and he was following his client’s instructions.
Barrister Safdar requested the court not to give a new date and to consider this point carefully. After the discussion, Justice Raja Inam adjourned the hearing.
Additionally, the Islamabad Sessions Court extended the interim bail of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in six cases until February 11.
