Punjab Government Announces “Nigahban Ramadan Package” for Citizens

Lahore:The Punjab government has decided to provide the “Nigahban Ramadan Package” to the people of the province.

According to private TV reports, a special meeting was chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, during which the decision was made to extend the Ramadan package to millions of families across the province. The meeting also reviewed various suggestions and recommendations regarding the package, and the Chief Minister instructed the necessary measures to ensure transparency in the distribution process.

Speaking at the meeting, Maryam Nawaz emphasized that the Nigahban Ramadan Package is a right for the underprivileged and a responsibility of the government. She stressed that the public should not have to stand in long queues to receive their rights, and they should be treated with dignity and respect. She added that citizens should be registered for the package, and this process should be completed by February 15.

Maryam Nawaz further stated that during the holy month of Ramadan, the aim should be to serve the public in the pursuit of Allah’s pleasure. She urged the administration and relevant authorities to consider their work not just a duty, but a form of worship.

Earlier in the meeting, relevant officials briefed the attendees that registration for the Nigahban Ramadan Package is mandatory through the PSER (Punjab Social and Economic Register).

It was also shared that citizens can apply for registration through an online portal from the comfort of their homes, or they can register at Union Council and Municipal offices. Additionally, a help line, 080002345, has been established for assistance regarding the package.
