Farmer Runs Over Woman with Tractor in Arifwala Over Crop Dispute

Arifwala:A horrific incident occurred in the city of Arifwala, Punjab, where a landowner ran over a woman with a tractor following a dispute over crops. The shocking incident was captured on video, which quickly went viral on social media.

According to reports, the woman had asked the landowner to refrain from damaging her crops. In response, the landowner became enraged and drove the tractor over the woman, resulting in severe injuries. She was immediately rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.

The police took swift action, arresting the accused and filing a case against him.

District Police Officer (DPO) Pakpattan, Javed Chadhar, stated that the local police received a call on the emergency number 15, reporting that a suspect, riding a tractor, was running over a 40-year-old woman. Police reached the scene promptly and transferred the woman to the hospital.

DPO Chadhar added that a case had been registered on the complaint of the woman’s nephew, and the main suspect had been arrested. The tractor was also seized by the police.

He further explained that the woman and the accused were relatives. The suspect was attempting to cross the woman’s land to reach his own, but the woman objected to him passing through her property. In retaliation, the accused drove the tractor over her when she attempted to block his way.
