Punjab Government Launches Interest-Free Easy Loan Scheme to Boost Small and Medium Enterprises
The Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, has launched an interest-free easy loan scheme to promote small and medium-sized businesses in the province. The scheme is designed to benefit Pakistanis aged between 21 and 45 who have the potential to start or expand their businesses. Additionally, the age requirement is reduced to 18 years for those looking to start businesses in the IT and e-commerce sectors.
### Loan Details:
1. **Tier One**: Loan range from PKR 100,000 to PKR 1,000,000.
2. **Tier Two**: Loan range from PKR 1,000,000 to PKR 10,000,000.
3. **Tier Three**: Loan range from PKR 10,000,000 to PKR 25,000,000.
### Loan Repayment:
Repayment of loans will be made in equal monthly installments based on the approval terms, with a late surcharge ranging from PKR 1 to PKR 1,000 per day.
### Application Process:
Applicants are required to prepare the following documents:
– Passport-sized photos.
– Scanned copies or clear images of the CNIC.
– CNIC registered mobile number.
– Two references’ mobile numbers (non-blood relatives).
– Proof of active tax filer.
– Business income and expenditure details.
– Rent agreement or property registration copies.
### Collateral:
If collateral is required, property transfer letters, registry documents, individual or government securities may be provided.
### Fees:
– Tier 2 application submission fee: PKR 5,000.
– Tier 3 application submission fee: PKR 10,000.
### How to Apply:
1. Create an account to start the application.
2. Ensure your mobile number is registered with your name.
3. Set aside at least 15 minutes to complete the application.
4. Submit the form.
5. Upload additional information if required.
### After Submission:
Once the application is submitted, applicants will receive a registration number, which will help them track the status of their application. The progress will be updated via SMS, and applicants can also check the status on the designated website.
This initiative aims to boost economic growth, create job opportunities, and support export expansion across Punjab by fostering business and entrepreneurship.
