Snowfall and Rain Expected to Affect Balochistan Roads, NHA Ensures Traffic Flow

Quetta:The General Manager of National Highway Authority (NHA) Balochistan North, Agha Inayatullah, has announced that snowfall and rain are expected to continue in various districts of Balochistan until January 20. He assured that the NHA is working to ensure that the public faces no inconvenience on national highways, and as soon as snowfall begins, staff will be deployed to maintain traffic flow on the roads.

While briefing the media on Saturday, Agha Inayatullah emphasized that snowfall often causes difficulties for travelers, and to mitigate these challenges, the NHA has set up rescue camps at various locations across the province. These camps will work to restore traffic on the roads after snowfall. He mentioned that areas like Kojak Top, from Qalat to Chaman, N-50 from Kuchlak to Danna Sar, Kuchlak to Kan Mehterzai, Kuchlak, N-65, Sibi, Dera Allah Yar, Mach, and Kolpur experience heavy snow.

The NHA official also stated that camps are set up on the routes from Lakpass to Noshki and Dalbandin, and NHA staff is always stationed with motorway police to assist with traffic management. Additionally, salt is applied to the roads at various stations to prevent ice formation and maintain smooth traffic flow.

Agha Inayatullah urged the public to avoid unnecessary travel during adverse weather conditions and to follow traffic laws. He also requested that citizens comply with NHA advisories to ensure their safety and the smooth operation of traffic.
