PPP Senior Leader Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri Condemns Destruction of Srela Cement Factory in Mastung

Quetta:Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senior leader and former Chief Minister of Balochistan, Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri, strongly condemned the destruction of the Srela Cement Factory in the Dast Gondin area of Mastung district. In a statement, he termed the incident as an act of public enmity, highlighting the severe consequences of the factory’s demolition.
Nawab Zehri stated that thousands of people depended on the cement factory for their livelihoods, with many poor workers earning their daily wages to feed their families. He pointed out that job opportunities in Balochistan are already limited, and the destruction of the factory further deprived the working-class citizens of their income. He called this an act of “economic terrorism” against the people of the province.
“The closure of this factory has left thousands unemployed, making them dependent on charity for their survival,” Nawab Zehri lamented. He questioned the motives of the elements responsible for such destruction, asking what they hoped to achieve by ruining the livelihoods of the common people. Zehri warned that these actions would only bring curses and shame upon the perpetrators.
He urged the government to take strong action against those responsible for the destruction of the Srela Cement Factory, ensuring that they are held accountable. Zehri also demanded compensation for the damages caused to the factory and the provision of adequate security to prevent further incidents.
