Collision Between Tanker and Trailer on Nati Jati Bridge Causes Oil Spill, Multiple Injuries Reported

Karachi: A collision between a tanker and a trailer on the Nati Jati Bridge resulted in thousands of liters of oil spilling onto the road. The incident occurred in the Jackson Police Station area of Keamari, as the trailer and oil tanker collided while heading towards ICI. As a result, a large amount of oil leaked onto the bridge, forcing authorities to close the bridge to traffic.
Following the accident, long traffic jams were reported as vehicles were diverted. Police confirmed that there were no fatalities, but numerous citizens rushed to the scene with drums to collect the spilled oil. Several individuals reportedly slipped on the oil and sustained injuries.
Rescue operations are ongoing, and authorities are investigating the cause of the collision. The oil spill caused significant slipperiness on the bridge, leading to further safety concerns.
Traffic police stated that although the traffic situation is tense, officers are present on-site to manage the flow of vehicles and minimize congestion.
