Maryam Nawaz Has Sunk the Boat of Governance in Punjab

ISLAMABAD (Daily Qudrat): Former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry has said that Maryam Nawaz has sunk the boat of governance in Punjab; the governance is so bad that if you compare Maryam Nawaz with Usman Buzdar, Buzdar will start looking good.

In an interview with Vi News, he said that you will see whether the economy has improved or not; poverty has gone to 41 percent, the largest share in this is Punjab’s, Punjab’s share is 23 percent. Why has poverty fallen so low? Maryam Nawaz has sunk the boat of governance; if you compare Maryam Nawaz with Usman Buzdar, Buzdar will start looking good — the governance is that bad.

Fawad Chaudhry said that I had said two years ago, when you did not maintain the wheat price — first, you are not buying wheat; if I am not buying wheat from you, then I will sell wheat in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa or somewhere — but you neither buy nor allow it to be sold outside Punjab. This decision broke the farmer’s back.

If the Punjab government is not buying wheat, then how can the Punjab government determine the price of roti? That is not possible.

Former Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said that social media has become both a great blessing and a curse for PTI. One of their groups works for an anti-Pakistan agenda and separatists. Three to four different groups are active on PTI’s social media. One group consists of those who were wronged and left the country one way or another, where they vent their anger on social media. The second group consists of individuals who have built an anti-establishment, economy or business environment on YouTube and are benefiting from it.

Fawad Chaudhry said that the biggest problem is with the third group, which is active for forces working on an anti-Pakistan agenda and separatists. This group also includes individuals who have no connection with PTI but have started campaigns against Pakistan, the army and the martyrs by displaying Imran Khan’s pictures and creating profiles under the PTI name.

Fawad Chaudhry said that Salman Akram Raja was Nawaz Sharif’s lawyer in the Panama case and also had a role in the matter of the documents presented against him. Leaders like Allama Nasir Abbas, Mahmood Khan Achakzai and Akhtar Mengal have also been given an important place in decision-making, even though some of them were previously at the forefront of the no-confidence motion activities against PTI and its government. These leaders played a role in toppling the PTI government, but now the party has given them decision-making authority. PTI’s current top leadership includes people who had no connection with the party in the past.

Regarding the imposition of Governor’s Rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and opposition to Chief Minister Sohail Afridi’s operations, Fawad Chaudhry said that imposing Governor’s Rule is a very big mistake by the government and its imposition cannot be attributed to Sohail Afridi’s actions.
