PTI Alleges Hospital Ward Sealed After Imran Khan’s Sister Noreen Niazi Admitted
LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has strongly condemned what it described as the mistreatment of Noreen Niazi, sister of the party’s founding chairman Imran Khan, following her sudden illness and transfer to a hospital, alleging that police sealed the area outside her intensive care unit (ICU) and prevented family members from meeting her.
In statements issued by the party spokesperson and legal team, PTI accused the government and administration of violating basic human values and described the alleged actions as an extreme form of oppression and political persecution.
According to PTI, Noreen Niazi suffered a sudden and severe cardiac problem and was immediately shifted to a hospital for medical treatment. However, the party alleged that the situation became more concerning after her arrival, when police placed locks outside the ICU and ward and sealed the area.
The party claimed that her family members were not being allowed to visit her and that no reliable or satisfactory information about her health was being provided.

PTI described the alleged restrictions as inhumane, arguing that even during a medical emergency, the family was being denied access to their loved one.
The party further alleged that Imran Khan’s sisters had already faced prolonged detention without any substantial grounds and expressed concern over what it called continued political victimisation.
Lawyers representing Imran Khan’s family confirmed that Noreen Niazi remained under treatment at the hospital. However, they alleged that none of her close relatives, including her daughter Hajra, had been permitted to meet her.
The restrictions have reportedly caused serious anxiety among family members, who are seeking information about her condition.

They demanded that the authorities immediately allow Noreen Niazi’s family to meet her and ensure transparency regarding her medical condition.
