Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party Welcomes Release of Former MNA Ali Wazir, Demands Release of Imran Khan and All Political Prisoners

Quetta — In a press release, the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) has welcomed the release of former Member of the National Assembly Ali Wazir, stating that, unfortunately, those who speak of the Constitution, democracy, Parliament, and genuine federalism face imprisonment and restrictions — something the PkMAP has condemned from day one.
The statement said that the Constitution of Pakistan permits every individual, party, or organization to freely raise their voice for the promotion of their views, programs, and political organization, and to campaign for their ideals within the bounds of the Constitution and law. However, unfortunately, all of this has today become rare or forbidden in the country — and raising one’s voice against this is the responsibility of every progressive political and democratic party.
In conclusion, the party once again welcomed Ali Wazir’s release and demanded that Imran Khan and all other political prisoners be released, and that political and democratic traditions and constitutional and legal measures be promoted in the country.
