Major Step by Balochistan Government to Bring Healthcare to People’s Doorstep: “Sehat Dehliz” App Launched

QUETTA (Quadrat Daily) — Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has said the provincial government has introduced a modern digital application, “Sehat Dehliz,” to provide people in remote and underdeveloped areas the facility of free medical consultation from the comfort of their homes, through which citizens can obtain free consultations with experienced medical specialists 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In a message on the social media platform X, the chief minister said bringing healthcare facilities to the people’s doorstep through modern technology is among the Balochistan government’s priorities. He said that on the very first day of the app’s operation, experienced doctors provided free medical consultations to citizens through 791 consultation calls, which is a clear indication of the facility’s usefulness and public need.

Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that given Balochistan’s vast area, remote populations and problems of access to medical facilities in some areas, the provision of health services through modern digital means is important. Through the Sehat Dehliz app, citizens will have access to medical consultation from home, which will help them avoid long journeys and unnecessary difficulties for initial guidance. He said the Balochistan government is continuing measures to facilitate the public in the health sector and improve access to medical services in remote areas. “We are committed to making quality healthcare facilities possible for the ordinary Balochistani who swelters in the heat and shivers in the cold, and geographical distances should not be an obstacle for any citizen in obtaining medical guidance,” he said.

The chief minister said digital facilities like Sehat Dehliz are an important step toward making contact between the public and medical specialists easier and benefiting from modern technology in the delivery of health services. The Balochistan government will continue practical measures to improve facilities in basic sectors, including health, keeping in view public needs.
