Only Imran Khan Has the Authority to Remove Mahmood Achakzai from the Opposition Leader’s Post; Emergency and Governor’s Rule Do Not Appear to Last Long: Shaukat Yousafzai

PESHAWAR (Qudrat Daily) — PTI Provincial Information Secretary Shaukat Yousafzai has rejected the allegations that Asad Qaiser wants to make his brother Chief Minister, saying only Imran Khan can remove Mahmood Achakzai from the Opposition Leader’s post.

PTI Information Secretary Shaukat Yousafzai said that character assassination of the leadership in the media by some party members is condemnable; there is a severe lack of discipline in the party, and no member has the right to disclose the inner story of meetings to the media. Mahmood Khan Achakzai is a respectable and senior parliamentarian; reports of Achakzai being removed are baseless. Imran Khan made Achakzai the Opposition Leader, and only he can remove him.

Shaukat Yousafzai said that he requests Barrister Gohar and Salman Akram Raja to establish discipline in the party; both have fully supported the party in difficult times. Reports that Asad Qaiser wants his brother made Chief Minister are completely baseless; Ali Amin Gandapur had already been nominated as Chief Minister before Asad Qaiser’s meeting with Imran Khan. It is correct that Imran Khan had directed that Asad Qaiser’s brother be made Speaker, and later Imran Khan himself changed this decision.

Shaukat Yousafzai said that even today he stands by the position that resistance politics has harmed Imran Khan, the party, and workers, and the current system of emergency and governor’s rule does not appear to last long. The imposition of emergency and governor’s rule is being cited as being based on terrorism, but the crackdown against political workers continues. He said that the war against terrorism can be won together.
