What Will Be the Battery Capacity of Apple’s First Foldable Phone? Key Details Emerge

ISLAMABAD (Qudrat Daily) — Details regarding the battery of Apple’s first foldable smartphone, the “iPhone Duo,” have reportedly surfaced. According to the report, the phone will use a total battery capacity of 4,883 mAh, comprising two separate battery cells inside.

The technology report states that this information comes from the European Union’s energy label. However, official confirmation is still needed regarding the phone’s final specifications and availability.

Details of the Two Battery Cells in the iPhone Duo

According to the report, the iPhone Duo’s battery will consist of two cells. The first cell is said to have a capacity of 2,962 mAh, while the second cell’s capacity is stated at 1,921 mAh.

The combined capacity of both cells totals 4,883 mAh. In foldable phones, the distribution of internal space is crucial, so the design and arrangement of the battery will also be a notable factor.

eSIM-Only Support Expected

The report also indicates that the iPhone Duo may offer only eSIM support instead of a physical SIM card. In this case, no space would be required for a traditional SIM tray inside the phone, potentially providing additional room for arranging various components within the internal design.

However, eSIM availability can vary by country and mobile network. The phone’s final specifications will only be determined after the company’s official announcement.

Comparison with iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max

According to the information in the report, the iPhone 18 Pro’s battery capacity is stated at 4,288 mAh, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max’s capacity is 5,567 mAh.

Based on these figures, the iPhone Duo’s battery capacity will be higher than the iPhone 18 Pro but lower than the Pro Max. However, a final judgment on a phone’s better or shorter battery life cannot be made solely on the basis of battery capacity.

What Factors Will Battery Timing Depend On?

A smartphone’s battery timing is not related only to the mAh figure. Screen size, display technology, processor efficiency, software optimization, and usage patterns also affect battery life.
