Recruitments in Balochistan Sports Department: Heated Exchange in Balochistan Assembly; PPP and PML-N Government Members Level Allegations Against MNA Meena Majeed

Quetta (Daily Qudrat Quetta): Speaking on a point of order during the Balochistan Assembly session, MPA Zarak Mandokhail demanded that elected representatives be taken into confidence regarding Class IV recruitments in the Sports Department.

Government MPA Asfandyar Kakar also expressed reservations over the recruitments, saying that they are elected representatives and accountable to the people, however merit has been ignored in the Sports Department. He said that elected representatives were also not taken into confidence on the matter of Class IV recruitments.

On this occasion, Speaker Balochistan Assembly Captain (Retd) Abdul Khaliq Achakzai remarked that the Pakistan Peoples Party has the government in Balochistan and the Pakistan Muslim League (N) is its coalition partner. He said that such remarks amount to expressing no-confidence in one’s own Chief Minister.

During the session, the differences that emerged among government members over the issue of recruitments in the Sports Department highlighted the debate regarding merit and taking elected representatives into confidence in the provincial government.
