Shruti Haasan Opens Up About Past Relationships: “Each One Was a Story of Unfulfilled Love”

Mumbai: Bold and outspoken Bollywood actress Shruti Haasan is often in the spotlight not just for her films but also for her personal life. In a recent interview with Filmfare, Shruti responded with grace and honesty to questions about her love life — including when people sarcastically ask, “Which number boyfriend is this now?”
Shruti has always been candid about her personal journey. Speaking about regrets in life, she confessed, “I have unintentionally hurt some people, and I regret that. Other than that, I have no regrets. I may have looked like a clown at times, but that was part of my journey. Hurting those who held a special place in my heart is my biggest unfinished apology.”
Discussing heartbreaks and breakups, Shruti admitted that she sometimes got too affected by her relationships. “We all have that one toxic ex whose memory still stings, but overall, I have made peace with all my past relationships without holding on to any regrets,” she said.
When asked in a mocking tone about the number of relationships she’s had, Shruti responded with poise: “It may just be a number to you, but for me, it’s the story of every time I failed to receive the love I gave. So no, I’m not ashamed — though, being human, the heart does ache sometimes.”
She emphasized that she has always been loyal and sincere in her relationships. “If I chose not to commit at times, I never felt the need to justify that to anyone. And I don’t blame my ex-partners for the breakups,” she added.
