Direct Weekly Shipping Service from Karachi to Europe Restored
KARACHI:Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Junaid Anwar Chaudhry’s efforts have led to the restoration of a direct weekly shipping service from Karachi Port to Europe, re-establishing shipping links with seven European ports.
According to the federal minister, Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has resumed its Premium I-Pak service, restoring a weekly shipping connection to Europe from Karachi Gateway Terminal.
The restoration of the direct service is expected to provide relief to the export industry and improve the transportation of Pakistani export goods, including textiles, to European markets.
The federal minister also appreciated the efforts of the Chairman of Karachi Port Trust (KPT) and the management of Karachi Gateway Terminal Limited (KGTL) for helping restore the service.
