Important Guidelines Issued for Pakistanis Living in Saudi Arabia

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Ulema Council Hafiz Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi has urged all Pakistani citizens residing in Saudi Arabia to strictly comply with local laws and security directives, particularly refraining from sharing images, videos, rumours or unverified information related to drone attacks and security incidents.
In a video statement, Tahir Ashrafi advised Pakistanis living in Saudi Arabia to strictly follow the country’s laws and security instructions.
He specifically urged them not to upload or circulate on social media any photographs or videos of attacks by Houthi rebels, efforts to intercept or neutralise such attacks, debris, security installations or other sensitive locations.
He also warned Pakistani residents against sharing comments that violate Saudi laws, rumours or unverified information.
Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi said that in the current sensitive situation, sharing information, images or videos related to security installations and incidents is contrary to Saudi laws and the directives of the Saudi Ministry of Interior.
He appealed to all Pakistanis in Saudi Arabia to act as responsible citizens and avoid any activity that could create difficulties for themselves or affect relations between the two countries.
Ashrafi said Saudi Arabia is Pakistan’s brotherly country and the land of the Two Holy Mosques, adding that it is the responsibility of everyone to respect its laws and contribute to its security and safety.
