Saudi Ministry of Interior Issues Emergency Alert for Citizens and Foreigners

Riyadh (Qudrat Daily) – The Saudi Ministry of Interior has issued an emergency alert for the Kingdom’s citizens and foreigners, under which a strict ban has been imposed on making videos and photos of scenes of drones and missiles being destroyed in the air and sharing them on social media, stating that publicising defensive operations will be considered an act against national security.

According to media reports, the scope of the ban imposed by the Saudi Ministry of Interior will apply equally to Saudi citizens as well as all foreigners residing in the Kingdom. According to the Saudi Ministry of Interior, filming or publicising defensive operations and military scenes will be considered an act against national security and a threat to the Kingdom.

The Saudi Ministry of Interior issued an emergency alert that immediate and strict legal action will be taken against anyone violating the order issued by the Kingdom.

It may be recalled that Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey have all reaffirmed their commitment to collective defence in view of Saudi Arabia’s security. Under this, at the Makkah Defence Alliance meeting, it was decided to provide military force and defence capabilities for Saudi Arabia’s security. According to Arab media, the meeting agreed to accelerate joint measures for the protection of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

An emergency meeting of the Political and Defence Committee of the Makkah Defence Alliance was held in Riyadh, and a joint statement of the committee was issued by Pakistan’s Foreign Office regarding the meeting. The meeting decided to provide agreed military troops and capabilities to Saudi Arabia in accordance with national legislation.


Similarly, according to the Foreign Office spokesperson, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif, and Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir participated on Monday in an emergency meeting of the Strategic Political and Defence Committee (S-PDC) established under the Makkah Joint Defence Pact in Riyadh.

The meeting ratified the nomination of Lieutenant General Noman Mahmood (Retd) Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military) as the first Secretary General of the Makkah Alliance for Defence. According to a statement issued by the Foreign Office spokesperson, the meeting also strongly condemned attempts to target the holy cities of Makkah Mukarramah and Madinah Munawwarah and the ongoing attacks against brotherly country Saudi Arabia. The three countries discussed the latest regional situation and expressed their commitment to work together for regional peace and stability.

During the meeting, Pakistan expressed its unwavering solidarity with brotherly country Saudi Arabia and reaffirmed its full support for the Kingdom’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and security. Pakistan also reaffirmed its commitment to continue making every possible effort to achieve sustainable peace and stability in the region.
