Petrol prices will drop soon, claims trump

WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump has predicted that gasoline prices will soon drop, even specifying the extent of the potential decrease.

According to international media reports, President Trump—who is currently addressing campaign rallies across various states ahead of the midterm elections—has been discussing petroleum prices during his speeches.

At a rally in Grand Island, Nebraska, the President reiterated his claim that gasoline prices would fall, stating that they would soon drop below $1.85 per gallon.

President Trump noted that this decline could occur either before or immediately after the midterm elections scheduled for November 3; however, he also pointed out that current oil prices are lower than they were during the Biden administration’s tenure.

If President Trump’s claim holds true, global petroleum prices could fall below $77 per barrel by the time of the midterm elections.

Applying this same ratio to the situation in Pakistan, the price of petrol for the average consumer could range between 270 and 280 rupees per liter.

However, Trump has previously set deadlines for a drop in gasoline prices on several occasions, and his predictions have proven incorrect every time.
