What Is to Happen in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Is for PTI and the KP Government to Decide: Aamir Ilyas Rana
Islamabad (Qudrat Daily) — Senior journalist Aamir Ilyas Rana has said that the decision regarding Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is for PTI and the KP government to make — governor’s rule or emergency! All constitutional and legal clauses can be implemented simultaneously.
In a tweet on X, he said that what is to happen in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is for PTI and its own government to decide; they have been informed of everything properly. Now how one understands it depends on them. Do not view governor’s rule or emergency separately; everything is in the Constitution, and all constitutional and legal clauses can be implemented simultaneously, for which complete preparation exists. “The ball is now in PTI’s own court.”
Aamir Ilyas Rana further said that as a reporter, I have shared what I came to know. On September 22, when I was in the United States, I had tweeted on this matter that those who were against governor’s rule are also now on board. After so many days, the decision emerging from today’s special meeting appears to be the same.
On the other hand, PTI leader Junaid Akbar has said that in the event of Chief Minister Sohail Afridi’s disqualification, no new Chief Minister will be appointed.

In a tweet on X, he said that in the event of disqualification of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Afridi, all members will be on the streets. No new Chief Minister will be appointed. Whoever is disqualified, none of us will remain in the assembly; we will all be on the streets among the people.
Similarly, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar has said that there are comings and goings with the government, but there has been no talk of any purpose. The October 4 long march is our final political decision and will remain firm at its appointed time.
Speaking to the media, he rejected speculation about emergency or governor’s rule in the country and said that there are neither emergency-like conditions in the country nor should an emergency be imposed under any circumstances. Our long march will be completely political and peaceful; we are not going to attack any institution or the government. Sohail Afridi will remain the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and all those assembly members who are dreaming of becoming Chief Minister should, for now, keep their CVs in their pockets.
