Erasing Usman Kakar’s Wall Chalking in Qila Saifullah Is the Act of Politically Immature and Short-Sighted Elements: Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party
Responding to political differences by erasing wall chalking is not the answer; such unethical actions are hurting public sentiments

Quetta (Daily Qudrat Quetta): In a press release from the provincial secretariat of the Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party, the non-political, unethical, and condemnable act of erasing the party’s wall chalking — particularly the wall chalking of martyred national leader Uthman Khan Kakar — in Qila Saifullah district and various other areas has been strongly condemned and declared a blatant violation of national traditions, political values, and democratic principles.
The statement said that political differences are part of a democratic society, but erasing the wall chalking of a political party on the basis of political differences — and especially erasing the wall chalking of such a national leader whom the people of the Pashtun Afghan nation have honored for his struggle, sacrifices, and national services — is an extremely regrettable and condemnable attitude. Martyred national leader Uthman Khan Kakar was an important national leader of the Pashtun Afghan nation. The overwhelming manner in which people across Pashtunkhwa and various parts of the country expressed grief and devotion at his martyrdom, and the participation of hundreds of thousands of people in his funeral, is clear proof of his public popularity and national political role. Erasing the wall chalking associated with the memory and political struggle of such a national leader is not merely erasing writing but is tantamount to hurting public sentiments and national political values.
The statement said that the incident that occurred in Qila Saifullah is the act of a few short-sighted and politically immature elements, which cannot be taken lightly under any circumstances. If any political party has a disagreement with the political stance or activities of the Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party, its answer should be given through political arguments, public engagement, and democratic struggle — not by erasing wall chalking and creating a tense political environment.
The Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party made it categorically clear to the leadership of the concerned political party that it should immediately stop its workers from such non-political and unethical actions and direct them to respect political opponents and abide by democratic values and national traditions. Otherwise, the responsibility for the political tension and public reaction arising from such incidents will fall on these elements and their leadership.
The statement demanded that the erased wall chalking of martyred Uthman Khan Kakar be immediately restored at the same location, and that in the future, damaging the wall chalking of the Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party or any other political party be completely avoided.
The Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party made it clear that the party reserves the right to highlight the memory, political ideology, and struggle of its national martyrs and leaders at the public level, and will not abandon its constitutional, democratic, and political struggle due to any non-political pressure or provocative action. Turning political differences into enmity is in no one’s interest, therefore the concerned elements should immediately end this non-political behavior and ensure respect for national and political figures in the future.
