Quetta Is the Face of Balochistan, Says CM Sarfraz Bugti

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has said that Quetta is the face of Balochistan and that improving the provincial capital’s beauty, infrastructure and civic facilities is a key responsibility of the government.

He said domestic and foreign visitors coming to Quetta should receive a positive impression of the province’s development, culture and beauty.

The chief minister expressed these views while chairing a review meeting on the progress of the Quetta Development Package here on Monday.

Mir Sarfraz Bugti directed the authorities to ensure the timely completion of ongoing projects under the Quetta Development Package while maintaining the required standards of quality. He said unnecessary delays in development projects would not be tolerated.

He stressed the need to give special attention to improving roads, green belts, parks, drainage systems and other basic civic facilities in Quetta so that citizens could have access to a better environment and improved services.

The chief minister said Quetta was not merely the provincial capital but also represented the identity and face of Balochistan. Therefore, he directed that the development, beautification and improvement of the city’s infrastructure be pursued on a priority basis.
