“Everyone in the Province Knows Who Is Getting Terrorism Carried Out, Who Is Trading Their Heads”: Sohail Afridi

DERA ISMAIL KHAN (Qudrat Daily) — Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, launching a severe verbal attack on the federal government, has said that every citizen of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa knows very well who is getting terrorism carried out in the province and that once again the heads of Pashtuns are being traded.
Addressing a press conference in Dera Ismail Khan, Chief Minister Sohail Afridi subjected federal ministers and the Punjab Chief Minister to harsh criticism. He said that their fake female chief minister gives statements that we face no threat from India but rather from the other three provinces, while their “mosquito” minister sits on TV and declares the honorable people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as terrorists.
He said that immediately after the regime change, when we warned through Aman Pasban rallies that under a policy terrorists were being resettled here again, these same clowns and jokers used to sit on TV and mock us, because at that time the heat had not reached them but our people were bleeding. We are residents of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa; our mothers, sisters and children are being martyred in this war, therefore we realize the true value of peace and order.
The Chief Minister said that how serious our government is against terrorism can be gauged from the fact that upon coming into government, we cut the development budget and immediately gave Rs 35 billion to the police force. In the current financial year, the security budget has been set at Rs 191 billion, which is 104 percent more than the previous budget.
Sohail Afridi made it clear that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is fully serious about establishing peace and eliminating terrorism, and if the federation wants peace in the province, it should immediately implement the 100-day action plan presented by them. Whichever official or citizen is martyred in this wave of terrorism will be given a complete and comprehensive martyrs’ package.
