Imran Khan Has Never Sent Any Message Against Sohail Afridi: Barrister Gohar

ISLAMABAD (Qudrat Daily) — Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, expressing severe anger over news circulating in the media regarding the removal of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi from his post and a no-confidence motion against him, has strongly denied it and made clear that Imran Khan has never sent any message against Sohail Afridi.

In his position issued to the media, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan said that Imran Khan has neither sent any message against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi through his sister or any lawyer, nor has he given any instruction to remove or replace him from the office of chief ministership.

Rejecting all such news outright, he said that in a delicate and sensitive political situation, circulating such fabricated news is an extremely inappropriate course of action and a conspiracy. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi enjoys the complete, unwavering and firm confidence of PTI founder Imran Khan, and the central leadership of PTI as well as all members of the assembly, along with the entire province, are fully supporting him.

Barrister Gohar Khan said that the PTI provincial government and leadership are completely united and there is no kind of difference therein. All relevant parties and those responsible must clearly understand that this is by no means the time to further worsen or escalate the situation; at this time, everyone should make such efforts together that could move the country’s political and economic conditions toward improvement. Every possible positive effort is being made by the party leadership to prevent the situation from deteriorating further and to deal with the security and constitutional challenges at hand.
