“They Want to Bring Goons to Lahore and Stage a May 9-Like Incident”: DIG Operations
LAHORE (Qudrat Daily) — Police authorities have revealed that despite Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s narrative of a peaceful protest on social media, a dangerous plan was prepared behind the scenes to repeat May 9-like violent incidents in Lahore by formally training goons and transporting them to the city.
DIG Operations Lahore Faisal Kamran, while addressing a press conference, stated that although statements are being given on social media that the protest will be completely peaceful, an important audio evidence obtained by the police has exposed this entire narrative.
He claimed that during an operation, the police arrested a person named Amin, whose mobile phone forensic examination yielded a highly sensitive audio recording and other material. In the audio that surfaced, a PTI female leader named Fatima Haider is heard conversing with the arrested suspect Amin, demanding 20 to 30 goons for the September 27 protest. The audio discusses a plan to formally train these goons, bring them to Lahore and prepare them for violent actions.
The DIG Operations said that these miscreant elements wanted to bring these trained goons to Lahore and repeat horrific and violent incidents like May 9, while the woman who made the audio, Fatima Haider, is herself a central nominated accused in the May 9 violent incidents.
Faisal Kamran made it clear that these miscreant elements involved in anti-state activities and disturbing law and order become a cause of defamation for the country and the state. Law enforcement agencies are alert, and any nefarious attempt to destroy the city’s peace, spread violence or stage something like May 9 will be thwarted with full force.
