Captain (Retd) Safdar stated that he had questioned the LL.B degree of Pakistan Bar Council member Ahsan Bhoon during a media interaction. He alleged that, instead of engaging with the legal aspects of the matter, Mian Dawood responded with what he described as a personal and insulting attack against him.
Safdar has requested the NCCIA to take action under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA), immediately preserve the electronic evidence, metadata and video in question, and verify ownership of the social media accounts allegedly used to publish the content.
The complaint also seeks legal action against Mian Dawood over alleged invasion of privacy, online harassment and damage to reputation. The allegations contained in the complaint have yet to be independently adjudicated.
