Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry Elections 2026-28 Completed; Ahmed Gul Kakkar Elected President, Mirza Khan Khilji Senior Vice President, and Jungian Essa Dashti Vice President

Quetta (Daily Qudrat) — The election process for the Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Balochistan, for the year 2026-28 has been completed. According to a notification issued by the three-member Election Commission comprising Chairman Abdul Samad and members Sardar Abdul Rahim Khilji and Muhammad Yousuf Miryani, under the election schedule, in the second phase of the elections, only one panel submitted its nomination papers within the stipulated period.

As a result, Ahmed Gul Kakkar was declared elected unopposed as President, Mirza Khan Khilji as Senior Vice President, and Jungian Essa Dashti as Vice President.

According to the notification, in the first phase of the elections, the following candidates were elected unopposed as Executive Members for the Corporate Class: Mirza Khan Khilji, Sikandar Khan, Shahbaz Khan, Muhammad Dawood Khilji, Abdul Hadi, Saad Khan, Nematullah, Ashfaq Ahmed, Muhammad Bilal Marri, Ajmal Khan, Zarq Khan, Muhammad Mudassir Mehr, Aminullah, and Muhammad Nabeel.

Similarly, in the Associate Class, Ahmed Gul Kakkar, Jungian Essa Dashti, Haji Janan Khan Achakzai, Muhammad Gul, Alam Zeb Kasi, Nisar Ahmed Khan, Malik Shafiullah, Zafarullah Khan, Syed Muhammad Azeem, Ahmed Shah Khan, Muhammad Afzal, Shabbir Ahmed, Muhammad Muzammil, and Syed Siddiqullah were elected unopposed as Executive Members.

The Election Commission clarified in its notification that the entire procedure of the election process was completed in a transparent and organized manner in full accordance with the prescribed election rules and regulations. The Directorate General of Trade Organizations (DGTO) of the Ministry of Commerce had appointed Maulana Dad, representative of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) Quetta, as election observer, who monitored the entire election process as observer and closely reviewed the various stages of the elections.

Meanwhile, Election Commission Chairman Abdul Samad and members Sardar Abdul Rahim Khilji and Muhammad Yousuf Miryani congratulated the newly elected officials of the Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry and said that the unopposed election of all officials is a shining example of unity, harmony, and mutual trust among the Chamber’s members and officials.

They expressed the hope that the newly elected officials will play their full and effective role in resolving the problems and challenges faced by the province’s business community and in promoting legal trade. They also expressed confidence that the newly elected leadership will meet the expectations of those associated with industry and trade in Balochistan.

They further said that the officials and members of the Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry have always rendered valuable services for the promotion of legal trade in the province, which has remained a prominent and proud distinction of this institution.
