Barrister Gohar Demands Immediate Change in State’s Approach: “Arrests of Opposition MPs and Imran Khan’s Family Will Worsen the Situation”
Islamabad (Qudrat Daily) — Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar has strongly reacted to the arrests of opposition members of parliament and the family of PTI founder Imran Khan, warning that detaining members of the National and Provincial Assemblies and family members at this time will further escalate and worsen the situation in the country.
In a statement issued on the social media platform X, he addressed the powers that be, saying that our people and parliamentarians are being arrested without justification. Those who currently hold authority and power should review the country’s rapidly deteriorating political situation with a cool head. The arrest of Uzma Bibi and Noreen Bibi and the detention of other women and family members in this manner cannot be condemned enough.

Demanding a change in the state’s approach, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan said that at this time the country does not need further conflict, tension, or chaos, but rather an immediate end to political tension. The state must immediately change its aggressive approach, because we are not making any illegitimate demands — we are only seeking justice under the Constitution and the law, and raising a peaceful voice for the provision of that same justice.
