Sustainable Security Cannot Be Established Through Cycles of Retaliation: Qatar

Islamabad (Daily Quudrat) – Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani has said that we must eliminate the causes of differences and conflicts; no state can become a threat to others.

In his statement, the Prime Minister said that our region is facing an earthquake-like situation, and the effects of events in the region have spread beyond it. The events have put the concept of security and stability to the test.

He made clear that we are working through diplomacy for the stability of the region. Diplomacy and economic stability have a deep connection with each other. Sustainable security cannot be established through cycles of retaliation; we must build mutual trust and address the causes of tension.

He said that the region needs such a framework in which sovereignty is respected. We have worked together with partners to reduce tension.
