“This Time We Won’t Just Carry Our Bodies, Bury Them, and Stay Silent”: Junaid Akbar
Mardan (Daily Quudrat) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Junaid Akbar Khan, regarding the proposed September 27 long march, has said that this time PTI convoys will enter the federal capital not through just one route but simultaneously via the Motorway, GT Road, D.I. Khan Road, and the Margalla hills. According to details, an important consultative meeting regarding preparations for the September 27 long march was held at the residence of Haris Khan Toru in Mardan, hosted by Member of National Assembly and Peshawar Region President Atif Khan, which turned into a public gathering.
Addressing the occasion, Junaid Akbar Khan said that when we first set out, we were under misconceptions and delusions, and we considered the state as a mother. We had no idea that direct bullets could be fired at our own citizens and political workers, as a result of which we returned carrying our bodies.
The PTI provincial president warned that this time we are fully aware that the state can fire bullets at us, but this time it will by no means be the case that we merely pick up our bodies, bury them silently, and sit at home. This time we will pick up the bodies and then return immediately.

Calling the September 27 protest a do-or-die war, Junaid Akbar said that on September 27, either we have to die or build a new Pakistan, because if we fail this time, we will never be able to rise again politically and constitutionally for the rest of our lives. Success and failure are in Allah’s hands; the entire leadership should stand firm alongside its workers.
It was reported that the consultative meeting was attended in large numbers by PTI Members of National and Provincial Assemblies including Shahram Khan Tarakai, Ali Muhammad Khan, Mujahid Khan, Ihtisham Khan, Zarashad Khan, Faisal Khan Tarakai, Amir Farzad, and Khurshid Alam Khan, along with all organizational office-bearers and workers of Mardan. The speakers expressed their resolve that on September 27, historic and unprecedented public convoys will depart from Mardan for Islamabad for the immediate release of Imran Khan, the attainment of real freedom, the supremacy of the Constitution and law, and the restoration of public rights.
