Saudi Customs Foils Smuggling of More Than 56,000 Illegal Captagon Pills

RIYADH:Saudi customs authorities have foiled an attempt to smuggle more than 56,000 illegal Captagon pills into the Kingdom through Duba Port.

According to Saudi media, customs officials at Duba Port seized **56,680 Captagon tablets** that had been concealed inside a truck entering Saudi Arabia through the port.

Saudi Customs Authority spokesman Hamoud Al-Harbi said the pills had been hidden in different parts of the truck. Customs officers discovered the contraband when the vehicle arrived at the port and underwent routine customs procedures.

Al-Harbi said the authority continues to strengthen customs controls at all of the Kingdom’s ports and remains vigilant against attempts to smuggle prohibited items while monitoring imports and exports.

He added that anti-smuggling operations are being carried out in cooperation with the **Ministry of Interior** and the **General Directorate of Narcotics Control**.
