“Corruption Has Hollowed Out Institutions; Every Pashtun Must Raise Their Voice Against the Occupation of Pashtun Resources and Excesses of the Center” — Nawab Ayaz Jogezai

Quetta (Daily Qudrat Quetta): A consultative jirga of District Quetta was held at Shalkot Marriage Hall, Quetta, under the chairmanship of Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) Central Secretary Nawab Muhammad Ayaz Khan Jogezai. At the beginning of the meeting, Nawab Ayaz Khan Jogezai, PkMAP Central General Secretary Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal, and Central Secretary Dr. Hameed Khan Achakzai gave a detailed explanation to the consultative jirga of the situation prevailing in the homeland, the severe unrest, all national and provincial highways being unsafe for travel, and the ongoing policy of forcing people to migrate from their ancestral homelands in order to occupy the national mineral, water, and forest resources of Pashtunkhwa, the homeland.
They said that from the Bannu Jirga to the present day, in jirgas at the district and division levels in Southern Pashtunkhwa, all the problems of the homeland and their solutions have been presented in declarations and resolutions, but due to the government’s inattention and continuous neglect, these problems have become increasingly complex and the people have been suffering deprivations. They said that redressing the ongoing excesses of the province and the center at the governmental level has become the demand of every individual and youth of Pashtunkhwa, the homeland, and that raising one’s voice against the unelected parliament, assemblies, and governments brought about by the force and auction of Form 47, against changes in the constitution and laws, and against the arbitrary occupation of the national treasures of Pashtuns is the duty and foremost obligation of every Pashtun.
Giving an example of corruption in society, they said that 79 years have passed since the establishment of the country, while China was liberated after us. Today, whatever items of necessity and use we see in the world market, they bear the label “Made in China.” Someone asked the Chinese Prime Minister what the secret of their development is, and he replied that “we gave death sentences to government employees and ministers involved in corruption.” If development truly has this foundation, then in this country, government officials involved in corruption in every institution — who have hollowed out institutions through corruption — must be punished, and corruption must be eliminated.
The consultative jirga formed its working committee, which will work under its district head. It was stated that if the government does not stop its unilateral bias against Pashtuns and its attempts to push Pashtuns further toward a quarter [further marginalization], and does not stop its abhorrent unconstitutional and illegal act of spoiling peace through its proxies, then the jirga’s working committee will determine its constitutional, political, and democratic course of action and adopt the path of struggle, the entire responsibility for which will fall on the imposed unconstitutional, undemocratic, unelected clique.
The consultative working committee has authorized Nawab Ayaz Khan Jogezai to appoint an Executive Council from the working committee, and Nawab Ayaz Khan Jogezai will announce it very soon. After that, the Executive Council will form committees for various tasks.
