Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chattha Could Not Be Released, Arrested Again

ISLAMABAD (Daily Qudrat) – Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chattha were arrested again after their release. The court ordered both of them to be sent to jail on judicial remand. According to police sources, Islamabad Police took Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chattha into custody and departed from Adiala Jail. Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chattha were produced before an anti-terrorism court. The court ordered both of them to be sent to jail on judicial remand. Islamabad Police took Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chattha back to Adiala Jail. The court ordered both accused to be sent to Adiala Jail in the case registered at Kohsar police station. The court rejected the police’s request for physical remand of Imaan Mazari and Hadi Chattha. The police had requested 30 days’ physical remand of both accused.

It may be recalled that earlier today, the Supreme Court had approved the bail of Imaan Mazari and her husband Hadi Ali Chattha. The court, while suspending the trial court’s decision against Imaan Mazari and her husband, approved bail against surety bonds of Rs 200,000. Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan had said that bail is being granted until the final decision of the case under hearing in the Islamabad High Court. The court remarked that both are lawyers, we are respecting them; tell them also to keep in mind the decorum of the court.
