“If the Establishment Delivers the Numbers and People, Just Give the Order”: Mansoor Ali Khan Claims on PML-N’s Stance on New Provinces

LAHORE (Qudrat Roznama) – Senior anchorperson and analyst Mansoor Ali Khan, while severely criticizing a behind-the-scenes conversation with an important PML-N leader and the lavish lifestyle of government figures, has made important revelations. According to Mansoor Ali Khan, an important PML-N leader, in an informal conversation, took a firm stance that they have no fundamental objection to the creation of new provinces, but the party will not undertake the effort of political alignment or persuading other parties on this matter. The League leader said that this is the establishment’s project, and it should persuade everyone. “When they complete the numbers and the people, they should just come and give us the order, and we will say yes.”

Responding to criticism by government spokespersons, particularly Uzma Bukhari, over PTI leader Sohail Afridi’s visit to Karachi, he said that Sohail Afridi did not use any official aircraft; he traveled on a regular domestic commercial flight, whose boarding passes and tickets have all been made public. He said that rulers preach simplicity and austerity to the public, but themselves take international trips on official aircraft.
Mansoor Ali Khan said that if Maryam Nawaz had taken a commercial flight to England, what catastrophe would have occurred? They preach austerity to the public; when petrol becomes expensive, they impose a 100 km/h speed limit on the motorway, pushing the public to save, while themselves spending lavishly. He said that before criticizing others, Uzma Bukhari should also give the nation an accounting of her Chief Minister’s foreign trips on official aircraft.
