Mir Sarfraz Bugti Is a Constitutional and Elected Chief Minister; Objecting to Assembly Majority Is an Insult to the Public’s Decision: Hayat Khan Achakzai

Quetta (Daily Qudrat Quetta) — Pakistan Peoples Party Balochistan leader Hayat Khan Achakzai has reacted to the statement by Nawabzada Lashkari Raisani, saying that Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti is a Chief Minister elected under Balochistan’s constitutional and legal process.
His election took place through the votes of the majority members of the Balochistan Assembly and through the democratic process. Making the majority secured within a democratic house the target of unjustified objections is, in reality, an insult to the decision given by the people of Balochistan and to the constitutional process, said Hayat Khan Achakzai, leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party Balochistan.
Nawabzada Lashkari Raisani has remained active in politics for a long time and has held several positions. When public decisions do not go in one’s favor, leveling allegations against institutions and the process has become an old political tradition. Instead of fabricating allegations, it would be better to reassess one’s own political performance and public popularity, said Hayat Khan Achakzai, leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party Balochistan.
Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti was sent to the assembly by the people of his constituency through their votes. Linking his public representation to assumptions is tantamount to harming the entitlement of the thousands of citizens who voted for him and who trusted in the continuity of democracy, said Hayat Khan Achakzai, leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party Balochistan.
Chief Minister Balochistan Sarfraz Bugti has always been at the forefront of upholding the state’s sovereignty in Balochistan, restoring peace, and resolving public issues. He is taking all schools of thought along to bring Balochistan out of crises and set it on the path of development. The political allegations leveled against him are a tactic to divert attention from Balochistan’s real issues and its development journey, said Hayat Khan Achakzai, leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party Balochistan.
Those talking about the role of political parties and the sanctity of the vote are the same leaders who themselves have benefited from these very parties and the system at various times. Political disagreement is every citizen’s right, but for Balochistan’s stability, it is essential that a positive role be played instead of expressing unjustified doubts about democratic institutions, said Hayat Khan Achakzai, leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party Balochistan.
The state and its institutions are working day and night to end unrest in Balochistan, ensure public security, and complete multi-billion-dollar development projects like CPEC transparently. Whenever an elected leadership takes steps to restore peace and order and ensure public prosperity, labeling it a state project and making it controversial is, in fact, a failed attempt to harm the province’s development journey and its people, said Hayat Khan Achakzai, leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party Balochistan.
Holding state institutions responsible for every political failure has become an easy tactic. The state is an equal patron of all citizens and the political process. When political figures lose their acceptance among the people, they try to sustain their political survival by criticizing institutions and the state, said Hayat Khan Achakzai, leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party Balochistan.
Those who criticize the state forget that the brave people of Balochistan have chosen, through their votes, a platform that can lead the province toward stability and unity. Leveling baseless allegations against the state system is itself an insult to all those voters who expressed their trust in peace and democratic continuity, said Hayat Khan Achakzai, leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party Balochistan.
Balochistan at this time cannot afford any kind of negative narrative or confrontation. The demand of the time is that all political leaderships, instead of leveling baseless allegations against the state, should join the national mainstream and play a positive and responsible role for the restoration of peace, education, employment, and sustainable development in Balochistan, said Hayat Khan Achakzai, leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party Balochistan.
