Hanif Abbasi Says People Today Want to Go Viral Like Veena Malik, Regrets Decline in Serious Politics

London (Qudrat Daily) — Federal Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi has said that nowadays, instead of focusing on serious issues in various fields, including politics, everyone is busy trying to go viral on social media.
Addressing an event, Abbasi said it is regrettable that people are caught up in trying to “become Veena Malik,” and even politicians are thinking about how something they say can go viral on social media.
He said he tells many of his friends that it is better to pray that no such statement goes viral.
The federal minister said that in the current situation, politics is about seriousness, responsibility, and performance. Politicians should tell the public through their performance where they stand before them and what work they have done for the people.
He said the public has the right to know a politician’s political performance and past. If a person has been elected as a member of the assembly three times or has been given the opportunity to become a minister twice, then questions should also be asked about their performance and other responsibilities.
Hanif Abbasi stressed that politics should be linked to practical performance rather than a race to go viral on social media.
