US Vice President JD Vance Raises Concerns Over Iran War Strategy and Prospects

WASHINGTON:US Vice President JD Vance has reportedly expressed serious concerns over the strategy and prospects for success in the war with Iran, according to US media reports.
US media reported that Vance contacted American military commanders in the Middle East, Europe and Asia and sought candid assessments of the Iran war and its likely outcome.
The assessment presented by the commanders reportedly differed sharply from the Trump administration’s public position on the conflict.
According to US media reports, commanders identified dwindling stocks of Patriot interceptors as their biggest concern. At one point, the number of available interceptors had fallen to fewer than 100.
The commanders also reportedly warned of historically low supplies of other key missile systems, raising concerns over the US military’s ability to sustain operations and respond effectively to continued threats.
