Promotion of Public Immorality and Obscenity in Quetta City During Evening Hours Is Extremely Worrisome: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam

Quetta (Daily Qudrat Quetta), September 10: The Ameer of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam District Quetta, Sheikh-ul-Hadith Maulana Abdul Rehman Rafiq, District General Secretary Haji Ainullah Shams, Senior Deputy Ameer Maulana Khurshid Ahmed, Information Secretary Abdul Ghani Shehzad, Abdul Samad Haqyar, Mufti Muhammad Abu Bakr, Abdul Bari Shehzad, Akhtar Jan Marri, Maulana Jamaluddin Haqqani, Mufti Rashid Ahmed Haqqani, and Haji Ata Muhammad Shamshuzai have said that it is extremely worrisome that elements promoting public immorality, obscenity, and indecency become active in various areas of Quetta city as soon as evening falls. The free movement of such elements in different parts of the city is not only contrary to social values and Islamic civilization but is also having extremely negative and dangerous effects on the younger generation.

They said that the continuation of such activities in the presence of the government and administration reflects the negligence and inattention of the administration. If practical action had been taken against the elements spreading obscenity and indecency, they would not have had the courage to continue such activities publicly and fearlessly. The silence and inattention of the administration has further encouraged such elements, as a result of which the social environment of the city has been affected and the younger generation is being pushed towards moral decay.

They said that the administration should abandon its neglect of responsibility and immediately take action against such elements in accordance with the law without discrimination. The people want peace, a clean environment, and a dignified social life in their city, not activities that affect the morals and character of the new generation.

The leaders of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam made it clear that silence will not be maintained on the promotion of obscenity, indecency, and immorality. If the administration does not take practical and effective measures, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam will be forced to adopt a protest plan. They demanded that immediate notice be taken of the alleged immoral activities taking place after evening in various areas and highways of Quetta, effective action be taken in accordance with the law, and elements spoiling the social environment of the city be stopped.
