Petrol Is Cheaper in Pakistan Compared to the Rest of the World — Governor Sindh

KARACHI (Qudrat Daily): Governor Sindh Nihal Hashmi has said that petrol is expensive all over the world at present, while in Pakistan the price of petrol is lower compared to other countries. The government is taking steps to provide maximum relief to the people and always stands with them. Addressing a ceremony at the Governor House on the occasion of the inauguration of an awareness and diagnostic eye camp for employees, the Governor Sindh said that in the camp, complete eye examinations of all Governor House employees will be conducted, which will provide treatment facilities to those suffering from eye diseases.

Thanking the organisers for holding the camp, he said that a large number of people in the country suffer from eye diseases, and various institutions are providing services in this regard.

Nihal Hashmi said that the government is playing its role, and in the current circumstances, all countries are facing various difficulties. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is making efforts to provide maximum relief to the people.

Regarding the price of petrol, he said that many sectors are involved, after which petrol reaches consumers. He said that global conditions also have an impact on Pakistan; however, the government continues its efforts to provide relief to the people. The Prime Minister had also announced a major reduction in petrol prices in the past, the benefit of which reached the people.

Regarding protests, the Governor Sindh said that protest is everyone’s right; however, such a protest should not be held that causes inconvenience to other citizens. Jamaat-e-Islami should also conduct its protest peacefully and in a manner that does not cause difficulties for the people. He said that the government wants to take everyone along, and protecting the interests of the people is its priority. “We always stand with our people.”
