“Yes, Honourable Madam Minister! What About the Receipts? When Will You Provide the London Plane Receipts?” — Fawad Chaudhry

LAHORE (Qudrat Daily): The controversy over the expenses incurred on the use of an official aircraft for Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s visit to London and her participation in her daughter’s graduation ceremony has intensified, with a social media exchange between former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry and Punjab Information Minister Azma Zahid Bokhari on the issue.

Former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry, criticizing Maryam Nawaz’s UK visit on the social media platform X, wrote that “the cost of Maryam Nawaz’s daughter’s graduation in London was paid by this ‘wealthy’ nation.” Reacting to Fawad Chaudhry’s critical statement, Punjab Provincial Information Minister Azma Zahid Bokhari strongly denied all the allegations and claimed that “absolutely false! The Chief Minister of Punjab paid all the expenses for the aircraft used for her London visit from her own pocket, i.e., personally.”

Following Azma Bokhari’s clarification, Fawad Chaudhry once again taunted her and demanded the payment receipts. Addressing the Provincial Information Minister, Fawad Chaudhry wrote, “Yes, Honourable Madam Minister!! What about the receipts? When will you provide the London plane receipts?”
