Armed Attackers Storm Talarun Check Post in Dalbandin, Set Buildings Ablaze

CHAGAI – Unidentified armed assailants attacked the Tolaran check post in the Dalbandin area of Chagai district, setting its rooms and structures on fire and making off with an official weapon and a white double-cab vehicle listed as case property, police reported.

According to authorities, the incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday at approximately 3:30 AM, when 18 to 20 unknown gunmen targeted the check post, located about 65 kilometers northeast of Dalbandin. The attackers arrived from the direction of Poosti and fled toward the same route after carrying out the assault.

Police said the armed men doused the check post’s rooms and buildings with petrol before igniting them. At the time of the attack, two police personnel were present at the post. Both remained safe, and no casualties or injuries have been reported.

Authorities added that the incident was reported with a delay due to the unavailability of cellular network coverage in the area. Following the attack, security forces have launched an operation in the region.
