Journalist Junaid Saleem Reveals New Details About Imran Khan’s Medical Tests and Treatment at Shifa International Hospital

ISLAMABAD – Renowned journalist and political analyst Junaid Saleem has offered a detailed analysis of the diagnostic procedures involving PTI founder Imran Khan at Shifa International Hospital, the escalating political unrest in Islamabad, and the establishment’s past political maneuvering.
In his latest vlog, Saleem cited sources within Shifa International Hospital to disclose new information regarding Khan’s medical examinations and treatment. He claimed that the specific hospital staff—including doctors, paramedics, and technical personnel—assigned to Khan’s tests, diagnosis, and care have not been permitted to return home for the past four days and remain confined to the hospital premises.
Saleem further reported that the gamma camera, a device used for diagnostic imaging in nuclear medicine, is either being newly installed or undergoing a major overhaul, as most of Imran Khan’s diagnostic procedures and treatment are expected to be carried out using this equipment.
Commenting on the current atmosphere in the federal capital, Saleem noted visible signs of anxiety and unease, with tough decisions being made ahead of a new political realignment.
On the subject of provincial divisions, he observed that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has taken a clear and open stance against the creation of new provinces, while the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), despite opposing new provinces, lacks the courage to speak out and has left itself at the mercy of circumstances. “The situation is not favorable for the PML-N; their position is increasingly fragile,” he said.
Addressing national political stability, Saleem made it clear that as long as Imran Khan remains in prison and adheres to his position, no political or non-political formula can succeed. “Whether you bring the British system, the American system, devise a London plan, or sign a Paris agreement—nothing will change without Imran Khan,” he asserted. “Until 90% of the country’s population is made stakeholders in national affairs, neither any system will work nor will the country move forward.”
Reflecting on the situation four years after the fall of Imran Khan’s government, Saleem suggested that the establishment may now be feeling a deep sense of regret. “The arrangement designed to remove Imran Khan from the political landscape appears to have been a grave mistake,” he said. “All political factions were united against him, and tactics of oppression were tried, thinking he would be
