“Wait for the Written Order, May Allah Protect Us”: Muneeb Farooq’s Cryptic Message on Imran Khan’s Hospital Transfer
Islamabad: Anchorperson and political analyst Muneeb Farooq has reacted to reports regarding the court’s decision to transfer former Prime Minister Imran Khan to Shifa International Hospital, urging people to wait for the written order.
“Wait for the written order. May Allah protect us,” Muneeb Farooq said in a significant message.
Farooq also claimed that, according to information he had received from power corridors, there had been no change so far in the position of influential circles regarding transferring Imran Khan from prison to a private hospital.
He said he was sharing what he described as credible information from a few hours earlier, according to which the relevant authorities believed that Imran Khan could be allowed to increase his walking time from half an hour to one hour.
According to Farooq, the view in influential circles is that health issues such as high blood pressure and anxiety can occur with age and can generally be controlled with medication. He added that the duration of Imran Khan’s meetings with his wife and family inside the prison could also be increased, but there was reportedly no perceived need to transfer him to a private hospital.

Farooq further said that, if the government had no objection, transferring Imran Khan to his Bani Gala residence as a sub-jail could remain an option.
He claimed that the medical report issued regarding Imran Khan had not significantly changed the position of certain influential circles in the country. According to the information he cited, those in the power corridors considered the health issues to be relatively normal medical concerns.
Farooq maintained that, as of today, there appeared to be no significant softening or change in the previously held position of the relevant authorities.
His remarks came amid reports surrounding the Supreme Court proceedings concerning Imran Khan’s medical treatment and possible transfer to Shifa International Hospital.
